  1. because most books, plans, modules, mags, and everything in between are printed in the English language, my dear.

im working here in Dubai for a construction company, with different nationalities: Japanese, Filipinos, Britons, Canadian, Pakistanis, Indians, Russian, Taiwanese, Sri Lankan, Irish, and Swedish. we communicate via the English language, either verbally or written.

  2. English language is the medium that we use to communicate meaning to each other.  It's vital in every area of life and learning.  While LEGO don't use words in their instructions, I can't conceive of having a meeting over some technology/ engineering/ building project without having some very clear and precise language being used.

  3. because its like a key to a door... you wouldnt open a chinese door with an italian key...

  4. Language is important in any field.  It's the key to communication.  How can we communicate our technological ideas if we don't share a universal language?  In something as intricate and specific as technology, a universally understood language is the only way to share ideas.  If we're building a bridge and you don't know how to coherently communicate the engineering aspects of stress, how will we know where to put the supports?
