  1. It depends upon the engine choice (I4 or V6).

I am shopping the V6 versions of these cars now, and I not excited about any of them.

From what I have read, the Mazda 6 V6 seems to be the best of the three, but I have not driven one yet.  In terms of performance and price/performance ratio, the Accord is the worst of the three. The Camry is the ugliest of the three.

    For the Camry -

I like the engine and transmission. I thought the steering was too light. However, I think that the Camry is too ugly to consider.  I will never buy a car because of its styling. However, there are some cares that I will NOT buy because of their styling and the current Camry is one of those cars.

    For the Accord -

I currently drive a '98 Accord and I don't like the new Accord.  My main complaint with the new Accord is that Honda no longer offers an LX-V6 trim level and the EX-V6 is loaded out with unnecessary equipment that I do not want. I also don't like the fact that the V6 Accords with automatic transmissions are hobbled up by Honda's MDS system and offer poorer acceleration than the mid-sized V6 sedans from GM, Toyota, and Nissan. I was also disappointed with the increased size and weight of the new Accord.

    For the Mazda 6 -

Last year's Mazda 6 with the relatively weak (~220hp) V6 was not interesting. The new car might be more interesting.  Mazda's quality record is not as good as the quality records of Toyota, Honda, and some of the GM brands.

    For the Altima -

This car and the Pontiac G6 GXP are currently at the top of my list, but I would rather not buy either of them unless I am absolutely forced to. My main problem with Altima is its CVT transmission. I'm not familiar with a driving a CVT, so I am not sure how to tell if it is failing. Also, the Altima hasn't fared well in comparison tests that I have read, so I suspect that its  CVT might be hurting its performance.

I would like to buy a new car, but there is nothing available that I am really interested in. What is frustrating to me is that there are several cars that are close to being acceptable.

If Nissan put a GM 6-speed automatic (or even better a VW DSG) into the Altima, I would buy it.

If Honda offered an LX-V6 Accord Coupe without MDS, I would consider it.

If Pontiac offered the GXP engine (3.6L) in the GT trim level, at a price somewhere between the two, I might buy it.

If the Camry SE weren't so ugly, I would buy it even though I don't like its steering.

  2. Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord have better resale values than  the American made Mazda.  Yes Mazda is made by Ford.  They all are very good cars, but the Toyota Camry is the highest rated out of all followed by HONDA.  Toyota is better in initial quality, and resale value.  Followed by the Honda Accord, the Mazda 6 is followed down the line.  Only thing is the Mazda 6 is a thousands cheaper than the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.  Don't get me wrong the Mazda 6 is a good car but it's not up to Honda and Toyota quality.  Mazda compares with KIA and Hyundai.

  3. Get the Mazda or Toyota. Mazda for the fun and reliablity. Toyota for the gas, reliablity, and resale value. Don't get the Honda, not as good as both of them. Mazda and toyota are the best quality you can get.

  4. a well equiped honda accord would be the best, not only is it nicer but it has a MUCH more solid-reliable name to it (honda).

  5. Well I was in that same situation between Mazda 6 Accord and Camry before. I like all of them but personally I went with the camry because the its power. and i'm talking bout the V6 not 4 cylinder. But they all good cars

  6. It is obviously Honda Accord.

It is the class leader and always has been the class leader.

And it holds the title for most reliable car in the world.

The Mazda 6 is a great car too. I would say it is better than the Camry.

In a comparison test, the Chevy Malibu and Nissan Altima beat the Camry. It is in last place compared with all of the new sedans.

  7. What engine is in your Ford Mazda 6 2.5 liter 170 hp or V-6 3.7 liter 272 hp? No manual trans available. And you really want me to tell you Mazda even comes close to Honda Toyota build quality. You really want to feel bad go and look at the new 2009 Nissan Maxima. You should have driven the Hyundai Azeria too until you ride in and drive all the cars in the  mid/full size segmet how can you choose. Features drive this near to full out luxury type car. All you have to do is pay $500 a month for 48 to 60 months better get a car you really like.
