  1. The predicted effects of global warming on the environment and for human life are numerous and varied. It is generally difficult to attribute specific natural phenomena to long-term causes, but some effects of recent climate change may already be occurring. Rising sea levels, glacier retreat, Arctic shrinkage, and altered patterns of agriculture are cited as direct consequences, but predictions for secondary and regional effects include extreme weather events, an expansion of tropical diseases, changes in the timing of seasonal patterns in ecosystems, and drastic economic impact. Concerns have led to political activism advocating proposals to mitigate, eliminate, or adapt to it.

The 2007 Fourth Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) includes a summary of the expected effects.

  2. polar bears go bye bye

  3. The melting of the ice caps and the resulting rise in sea levels, and the apparent worsening of and increased frequency of extreme weather.

  4. Turning a lot of peoples brain to mush.

  5. The biggest effect i can think of is a overall warming of our globe.

  6. people think it's the shrinking of the polar ice caps but the truth is, they are back to 95% of their original size. it's also been like the coldest winter in 50 years in some parts of Asia.

  7. as much as everyone thinks global warming has destroyed our earth the main problem is its potential. so far global warming has depleted our atmosphere about 3% and thats what has everyone worried. The problem isn't right now but what will happen if this continues to happen no matter how slow. So to answer your question there really isn't any part of global warming that is the worst yet, the main problem is what is coming

  8. ice/glacier melting

  9. panic and fear

  10. The glaciers are melting and now the poor polar bears are having a hard time finding food. They are having to leave their cubs to go look for food.If their cubs are not strong enough to follow their mothers and hunt they will die to, therefore the polar bears will become extinct.

  11. Ask Al gore, he invented the internet you know!

  12. the weather

  13. So far?  It really hasn't done much of anything.  There is a potential in the distant future, but since all the predictions are just vague promises of gloom and doom ranging from massive ocean-wide hurrices to everyone having to camp on top of Mt. Everest, it's kind of tough to actually figure out what might REALLY happen.
