  1. The only type of boat that would go that fast carrying four passengers for less than $20k would be a used bass boat or speed boat. Like a 19 to 20 footer with 200 to 250 horsepower.

  2. I have a 78 Nordic Jet Boat for sale for $6500 o.b.o. It has a Ford 460, Berekley Jet Pump. I pull a Super Mable Tube which holds 3 people. Never found out how fast it goes, but it's fast.

  3. Need more info... Is it going in salt or fresh water? Inboard, outboard or Jet powered? What is the primary use? and what are you doing that you need to do 60 on the water?

  4. Buy a speed boat hull, w/ a 225hp and up outboard motor. You'll be going way faster with an outboard than an inboard.

uh.. type of drive is very important, if you get a jet drive, you better buy a boat that has work don't to the jet if you want to go over 60 mph. Prop drives are faster than jet drives, unless there is alot of money dumped into them. If you've never owned a boat, buy a cheap one, because you will probably hit the dock with it, and other boats if your inexperenced at driving boats.  Which you probably are, that's why you are on here asking questions on which boat to buy.

PS.. Don't kill anyone when you do decide to buy a boat and take it on the water for the first time.
