  1. Setting isn't for everyone but what you do is hold your hand above and you finger tips should be somewhat stiff. you should bend you elbows a tiny and push up.

They will probably have you doing alot of passing(bumping) its very important. make sure you get down low and bend your legs. the ball should hit your arms right below the wrists. dont swing. shrug your shoulders. Serving is also very important. your hand should be hard like your about to give a high five. throw the ball above your head and SWING HARD.

One of the most important parts of the game is team work and leadership when the ball is comming to you shout mine so the coach can be sure your aggrssive and will go for anything, show alot of enthusiasm and try really really hard

  2. Okay. First: callllmmmm doooowwwwwn. Take a deep breath.

Now, here's what you're probably going to get. They'll test you on how high you can jump, how fast you can go, your endurance, etc. Then, they'll move on to the actual volleyball stuff. (If you already know how to do this stuff just skip it.)

1-passing. Lock your arms together in front of you--make a fist then wrap your other hand around it. Don't cross your thumbs. When the ball comes at you, just step into it and swing your arms A LITTLE BIT--don't go crazy swinging.

2-setting. This is one of the harder skills to master. Put your hands up, thumbs pointing towards your eyes, and fit a ball into them. Then push out, pushing your hands away from you, not smacking your hands or anything. It's kinda difficult to explain.

3-spiking. just hit the ball over the net, by swinging with one hand. bring your elbow/arm back like you are drawing a bow and arrow. Swing all the way through.

    Good luck!

P.S. you do not switch every point.

  3. You should practice setting up against the wall, but try to keep it high and only hit it with your finger tips!! That si parcially what they look for, tehn try getting a family member to pass to put you to the test, but practice bumping and aiming at teh same time!! Dont over work yourself though!! It will not look pretty!! Trust me i know!!

  4. Rally/game: Theres 6 people on at once and you can only have 3 hits (usally bump, set, spike) and you have to get it over the net. The other team then trys to get it over the net. The first team to drop the ball or anything not allowed, it becomes the other teams serve.
