WHat is a good brand of snowboards?

Question

I want to buy one this year but i am not so sure about which brand to look into i was thinking burton.

but i know there are better brands out there.

i ride short so what is a good brand?

Burton boards blow.

Good brands: Ride, Rome, Gnu, Nitro, Rome, K2, Neversummer, lib tech.

ive been snowboarding a year and im buying my board this year too! so excited. anyway im looking into a k2 board. ride bindings. and comfy boots (whatever brand that may be), im keeping my options open though. a cool thing about k2 is that they donate money to finding a cure for breast cancer (over 1 million dollars thus far). on the new k2 2009 line they put a small pink breast cancer ribbon on the top sheets of all their womens boards. i love this about the k2 brand

well like you said burton is a great brand but also K2 is really good there are other good brands but those are the best.

Burton is a good brand, but it is pretty expensive. Try Rome boards, they are just as good as Burton but less expensive. You could also mix and match try Rome boards and Burton bindings or vice versa. Zuma is a good brand too. If you can't get real expensive board you want a board that you don't here about a lot. That's why Burton is so expensive sometimes, cause it is the brand everyone talks about and uses.

Yea, forget the Burton hype. There are great boards out there made by other companies that cost a fraction of the price. I would recommend Ride, K2, Roxy (freeride) and Rome, K2, Lib Tech, Gnu (freestyle) as the best brands - but it really depends on what kind of riding you do.
