I have been looking at design schools and i have found some that say they are accredited with certain organizations and others that say they are members. What is the difference? Do you have to be accredited to be a member? Which option is a true indication of the quality of the school?

  1. Accredation is what's important, they can be a member and fail to earn their accreditation.  If you get a degree from a school that lacks accreditation you may have trouble getting your classes to transfer to other colleges and universities, especially if you move or change colleges before you finish your degree.
