WHat is the different between available balance and current balance?

Question

I have direct deposit and just got paid last night. My available balance reflects this . However, my current balance does not. If I go swipe my card today. It shouldnt penalize me since the money is actually in there, should it?

direct deposits are normally posted after midnight the day befor payday available balance shows how much you can spend  your current balance will show the amount needed to keep your account open plus the available amount
