  1. The reason why the animal kindom has such amazing and clever methods of reproducing is due to the fact that some animals are not capable of physical interaction. A way around this is spawning zygotes in the ocean as fish do. The fish release clouds of eggs and sperm and eventually a great number of eggs are fertizied in the water. Also you may have a carier like a bee, who, as he collects the pollen from flowers as food for himself, he inadvertinally carries spores on his body that fall into female flowers when he swaps from flower to flower. The wind is also capable of carrying flower spores to different flowers that need fertilization.

A similarity between the two is that most applications of reproduction requries a fertilized egg, exept Asexual reproduction. But basically the more unlikly it is for a female of one species to physically mate with a male of the same species, the more advanced the method of reproduction has to be for the species to continue surviving.(natural selection tells us that in many species if the animals are physically and/or socially inferrior, that species will eventually die out during the normal cycle of nature) In some cases it may be very hard to find a mate, so that is why some species have A sexual reproduction, otherwise they would all die out.

But the main reasons for a variety of reproduction techniques are due to the following,

    1) Hard to find a mate (organisms on the ocean floor)

    2) Incompatable reproductive systems (elephant and man)

    3) There is a greater probability of fertizisation if its is carried out in mass fertilization (eggs spawning)

    4) No physical interaction (flowers)

    5) Chance of Death (organims are very suseptable to attack While ingaged in s*x)
