  1. The problem  the EU faces is that it tries to integrate people of different cultures religion and race and it has never worked in the past read your history.

  2. take a look around. the problem they have is that most don't like or want it. and that number is growing by the day. as people join the dots and find out just what they are all about, and how much it is costing them.

  3. When too many is members, what is the point. We are in the world anyhow.

  4. The real problem is y'all like high school girls who pretend to like each other and all hate the most popular girl [America] in school But you really don't like each other and all want to be her [America] Never going to happen

  5. The EU is a creation of European politicians who have forgotten to check what they are doing with their electorate (not uncommon in Europe).

What started out as an economic union, which is a great idea, the politicians are trying (with difficulty) to transform into a political union.

A political union demands, first and foremost, a reasonaable coincidence of view among the members as to what type of society they want to live in and what political and economic goals they want to pursue.

None of that is true of the EU, and the current strains it is suffering are a direct result of that.  It was bad enough having a dozen countries, each speaking a different language and having a different view of the world, but they then went out and admitted about 10 more!

Many of the European countries simply do not like each other or respect each other, even now.  Their political traditions and social outlooks are widely divergent and it shows ---regardless of what the politicians are saying.  I lived there for 25 years and saw it first hand.

The problems of the EU are only starting.  First, the populations of the original members are finally finding out about the political monster their politicians have created and they don't like it.  Hence the huge NO votes on the European constitution.  There would have been more NO votes had they not called the ratification process off, and there will be more to come.  That is why the European politicians are trying to avoid referendums on the process at all costs.

This is too long a story to tell here, but the headaches of the Europeans in respect of this union and the creation of the Euro have only just begun.  It will take time for the whole thing to unravel, but unravel it will.  How do you unite countries or people who have nothing in common except they are located near each other?

Look at Yugoslavia.  What is it now?

    Is Czechslovakia still Czechslovakia?

Is the Soviet Union still united?

    Is Cypress united?

Does Kosovo want to stay part of Serbia?

Are the Iraquis living comfortably alongside each other?

Not to mention Ethiopa, Sudan, etc. etc. etc.

And even in Canada why does Quebec have a referendum on independence every time they have a chance?

It takes a lot of glue to hold a union together.  The EU simply don't have it, and as they continue to pursue an even bigger union I think they are pursuing a death wish.  It does not make me happy, but history in this case has not been much of a teacher.

  6. Among many other problems, the main are: illegal immigration, human and drugs trafficking, illegal weapons market, just like any other developed country.

  7. A big problem is that countries that make up the EU in themselves may one day have a vote in itself to become independant from Europe.

Perhaps England may do this one day.

    :D

EDIT:  Plus, the dislike of the EU is encouraged by the mass imigration that is allowed under the treaty.  It annoys me - too many people whom don't speak English are coming in and then using the public services (hospitals and schools) and then dilute the culture.
