Ok, I have been ridding my dirt bike for about 4 years. An older one, and its about a 100cc engine. Now I don't want a 250 because I think that is to small for me. But what other one can I get. A 650 is too big for me and a 250 is too small. Andy ideas?

  1. your current ride being a 100cc, a jump up to a 250 2stroke would be huge in my opinion.

alot depends on your size also, height and weight.  height would regulate whether or not a full size bike and weight could regulate engine size.

a 250 2 stroke is comparible to a 450 4 stroke in power, both are very similar in size (seat height) commonly referred to as a MX bike (racing class)...

where a 125 2 stroke is comparible to a 250 4 stroke in power & fit commonly referred to as a Lites bike (racing class).

if you are looking for another dirt bike (only) to move to, if your height is up to fitting on a full size bike, then your weight might be key.  a 125/250 (lites) would probably be better suited for a lighter weight rider, say under 160 lbs where the 250/450 (MX) would be better for greater weight of 160 lbs on up.

these are race bikes for motocross... there are several very good dirt bikes that are not directly MX track bikes that would also be good options depending on your size too.  like a KDX200/220, KTM250/300XC, XR400, KLX300/400, WR250/450 along with the CRF250/450X which are alot more suited for trails, harescrambles, enduro riding...

  2. Personally I'd get a Harley but if you want a dirt bike get a 450 or a souped up 250.
