I know this sounds stupid but in my front yard there are these ugly white mushrooms from nowhere. I mean just sitting in the grass. Where do they come from? DO they come from a seed? I didnt put them there. How do I get rid of them?

  1. The mushroom is the fruiting body and only a tiny portion of the fungus.  If you pick the mushrooms, the biggest part of the fungus still remains.  There is a huge mass of hyphae, tiny strands, running through the soil.  The mushroom is just the reproductive structure that produces spores.  The spores travel by wind to a new place to start producing new hyphae.

  2. idk i use to hav whit mushrooms in the grass but just leave it there...

    u might eat it...it depends

  3. Spores carried by wind usually and fed by the rains. Dig'em up and toss them.

  4. Excessive of water on soil that's what I understood from wikipidia
