There is know the Rams can expect to contend for the playoffs without Jackson.

look at the numbers:

2006:

Rushing:

1,528 yds 4.4 yrds/attempt 13TDs

Recieving

90 REC 806 YDS 3 TDs

in 2007 Jackson onlyplayed 10 full games and 12 in total and he still got 1,002 yards

DO the rams actually think they can win without Jackson?

  1. no Jackson, no playoffs.  I would get him signed ASAP.  I don't think they go very deep even if they make it, but he is their main weapon.

  3. They are not going to compete for a Super Bowl with him because there are too many holes on their roster... so at this point they are not interested in paying too much for him.

  4. No the Rams cant win without him but arent about to let him have his way with them either. You have to think from a perspective of the Rams who see Jackson only started 10 games last season and was injured half the time. There taking this situation carefully because if they give that contract to jackson and he gets injured it would have been a waste of money.More like an insurance thing for them really. They want him to play this season without gettin injured then give him the contract rather than give him a contract and he gets hurt.Rams are really in a lose lose situation right now where they cant really do much about it except sit and wait for jackson to report to camp.

  5. No, they can't. That would be like asking if the Pats could win without Tom Brady or Randy Moss - just can't happen. They better get him signed soon!
