Voting is a citizens RIGHT"!

Why do we have to register in order to exercise that "right"?

The Supreme Court has ruled, the government cannot "regulate, restrict or otherwise impede a constitutionally garranteed right"!

So why is it that you cannot vote if you are not registered?

  1. Register to vote in order that when it is exercised, your vote will be counted.

  2. When you register, you have to prove that you are a citizen.

If everyone had to prove citizenship at the time they voted, the lines would be a tad bit longer

  3. To keep the Democrats from voting graveyards and driving illegal immigrants around so they can vote multiple times.

  4. One vote one person that is why

  5. To make sure that you dont vote more then once

  6. Yes voting is a citizens right, but not all citizens have that right. If you are a convicted felon, you lose that right. Therefore, like Peter M. stated, only those who may vote, do vote.

  7. Federal law requires that you be a US CITIZEN in order to vote. How else are can they at least try to verify that you have the legal right to vote ?

  8. You are required to register to vote so a determination can be made that you are qualified by age, etc.  If the qualifications had to be determined as you appeared to vote the delays would be incredible.  It would take days to complete the vote.

  9. its to make sure you only vote once.. so that all your information is taken down and checked off when you do vote..

also.. most americans don't vote.. those in charge of elections can get a general idea of how many people will vote by looking at how many are registered.. otherwise they would spend millions on voting machines that would never be used.
