WILL THE DETROIT LIONS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR?

The Detroit Lions have a arsenal of weapons on the offense and a pretty decent defense, for the past two years they seem to be on the verge of doing something good! Will a coaching change make a difference,or is it time for Matt Millen to go?

  1.   By the way they've played in preseason, I'd say yes. All they really needed last year was an offensive line. Looks like they have one now. Their defense is very good.

  2. The Lions won't make the playoffs until pigs fly!

  3. Yes - in a weak year for the division - but it depends on the other two divisions record.  Everyone in the Black and Blue division is weak.

  4. not likely...... they're a good team though.....maybe if minnesota doesn't stay healthy and green bay stumbles on the loss of favre or rogers gets injured or something. yea

  5. no not this year

  6. They have decent running backs and a good receiving core, but one their defense is unpredictable and two, their offensive line is weak at best, You can't give up as many sacks as they do and get into the playoffs, and yes it's time for Matt to go!

  7. Probably not, they're the only NFC North team that did not upgrade. Best case scenario, they finish 4th in the NFC North.

There is no way they can sneak a Wild Card either.

  8. In a word: No. To explain, the laws of probability are against it. There would have to be far too many plane crashes and bus accidents to eliminate enough teams that are better than the Lions for the Lions to become a play off team, even as a Wild card. Sorry. But the facts are the facts.

  9. NO CHANCE, I swear they are the crappiest franchise of all time. You gotta feel bad for the dedicated fans. They need to get rid of Mat Millan

  10. No playoffs and yes it is time to say goodbye to Matt.

  11. no they wont make it

  12. Yeah, the Packers haven't looked too good so far, yeah it's preseason but I don't think Rodgers can handle the pressure. Everyone thinks the Vikings are awesome, but I think everything about the team is overrated especially Adrian Peterson he had a great season last year but I don't think he can do it again. And for the Bears, do I really have to say anything there? The Lions will win the division and if not they'll get wild card.

  13. could make it as a wild card

  14. i see them making it to 8-8 or 9-7 and making a wild card

  15. thats what people have been saying about their team for the last couple years...NO they won't go...

  16. still the fourth best team in the nfc north talent wise so i dont see how they could.  only one team is coming out of that division anyway as washington and philly are far better than green bay with aaron rodgers, who will finish second in the north behind minnesota

  17. Possibly.  They can finish anywhere from 6-10 to 10-6 (depending on other teams' injuries).

  18. Can they?  Yes, they have some of the pieces in place on the team to do so.  But will they?  Unlikely.  A coaching change would probably make a huge difference and be better for the team in the long run.

  19. No playoffs for sure. I doubt if they would even make it to a bowl game if they had a college schedule.
