  1. Its a tropical storm for goodness sake - People in Florida laugh at anything below a category three hurricane.

  2. No.  Your sons are now in the care of the state.  In jail they are in danger from a lot of things, but authorities take care to make sure they are not endangered from the weather.  They will not call you.

  3. NO,  they have better things to do.  Let them drown

  4. I'm sure the folks running the facility would have nothing better to do at a time like that than call everybody's mom's to let them know they're in danger.  NOT!

If they're juveniles, then they might get a phone call after the storm is over, just to let you know they're okay.  If they're adults, then I'd bet nothing will be any different than it ever is.  They're in prison, not spending a week at summer camp.

Prison facility in areas that commonly have natural disasters are typically prepared for that kind of thing.

  5. for whatever reason your sons are incarcerated they belong to the state and they are the ones to insure their safety not their mom.   When you think of the thousands in prisons across the country...no prision would have time during a disaster of any sort to call the prisoner's mother/family.    They may be your sons by birth but their actions make them belong to the state for time incarcerated.

  6. The only thing they are in danger of is their roommates...

  7. They will keep them safe.  Don't worry.  They belong to the state now.  :)

  8. Do not worry.  The State has well rehearsed emergency  and evacuation plans, if necessary.  They are also required to maintain food, first aid, water, emergency necessities in the event of a natural disaster.  Florida is well equipped for hurricanes.

  9. The prison will not notify you. If the prison is in danger due to the storm they have resources.
