What do you think of the outcome of the match b/w Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal? What was your experience like when watching their battle? What are your feelings towards the players?

I'd like to say that it's been incredible watching the Federer vs. Nadal match. Originally, I was going to miss it, but then I was lucky to stick in front of the tv. I am so glad I got to see something so great, an event that will be remembered in tennis history for many, many years to come.

I really feel sad for Roger Federer. Somehow, I think that he's lost so much more than Nadal has gained by beating him. But overall, it was fierce, and I'm infinitely thankful that I witnessed the exhilarating journey that is Wimbledon of 2008.

  1. It was a really good match, i was rooting for Nadal, so i'm happy. this years Wimbledon was full of shocks up till the last game. But at the end, the players i rooted for won, so it was a really good Wimbledon this year.

  2. Im soooooooo HAPPY ! Its unreal what im feeling just now. Youd think ive just won wimbledon. I was soooo nervous and scared after rafa screwed up championship points in the 4th set but he played awesome tennis and his serve was amazing !!! Roger couldnt get many break points in the 5th and when he did he couldnt convert them because Nadal played awesome.

What a great match, one of the best in history apart from the rain delays !!! :P Vamos Rafa xxxxxx

  3. I felt pure joy when Rafa won. Both he and Fed played a great game of tennis and I was glad to have witnessed it. Good job to both guys.

  4. It was one of the best tennis matches I have ever seen in my life.  I was nervous, shaking, indecisive, rooting for one then the other.  I couldnt even get up to do anything without racing to do it, so that I could get back in time for the next game.  It was great, they both deserve to win, that match was phenomenal.

  5. RAAAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!... of clay and now grass, im tha happiest i've ever been, go nadal this is leading into something great!!!!!!i hate Federer and love Nadal, Federer also can't take a loss, he cry's about it "it hurts" wawa!! every1 looses it's just a matter of being a good sport about it, i cried seeing nadal win, im soooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!GO NADAL

  6. You have to remember that last year Rafa was on his way to beating Roger before he got a leg injury. i felt Rafa deserved to win last year.

Both are phenomenal athletes and it was an honor to witness possibly the greatest Wimbeldon final in history.

Federer will be ok.  He is still ranked #1 and is still dominant on the hard courts.

  7. I was so confident during the first 2 and a bit sets, then I felt a litte unsure but still thought Rafa would pull through.

After the first rain break I was pretty much tense throughout the rest of the match. There where so many highs and lows throughout the last set but it payed off and I just jumped around screamin when it ended! haha

Nadal definalty deserved it though. He's worked so hard for it both before and during the match. It was definatly his time

No disrespect to Federer though. He still proved he is one of the best players to have ever walked onto a tennis court - i mean what a fantastic fight to have put up!

    Amazing the both of them!

  8. I would be loads happier if Federer had won.

  9. I think it could have gone either way. In the end , they were playing on nerves. However, I am glad Roger made Rafa work extra hard to win that title.

  10. Greatest match I've ever seen! So much fun, and I fell on the ground when Nadal won. When he couldn't save those 2 match points in the fourth set tiebreaker, I was so upset. But he pulled through and showed that he's the best player!

  11. I thought I would just die form the nerves during the match and was ecstatic when Rafa won. I so wanted him to win. I have to say though that the aftermatch was great for me. Federer sad but dignified and did not begrudge Rafa his victory. Rafa very gracious and extremely respectful of the No 1 player. That is a great rivalry. they batlle their wits out on the court but respect each other as indivudals. I hope Djokovic was watching how true champions behave.

  12. i felt bad for federer. nadal is the annoying type to play against b/c he takes lots of injury timeouts, extra time serving and returning, etc... tries to play to his own pace and get mind games going. but he seems humble enough after he wins. federer is the greatest of all time, no doubt about that, but nadal has closed the gap. now federer has company at the top. finally someone is challenging federer.

  13. still sad
