ohkay, I use Windows Movie Maker, and i upload videos on youtube. whenever i just plain old upload them onto my computer and then on youtube WITHOUT EDITING at all, everything is fine. BUT when I edit something, like make my voice speed up or slow down, and i try to put the EDITED VIDEO on youtube, a little window pops up and says that I have to go back and export my video in '.WMV' format, which I don't know how to do! i've looked everywhere, and asked questions and everything, but i really don't know how to export my video in 'WMV' format. PLEASE help me!

  1. possibly under save as,

or when you are publishing the movie make sure to publish as wmv

its probably default as whatever best will play on your computer.

  2. i recently had the same problem and you have to go to "file" then go to "save movie file" then  click web then click next then next again then your good to go. once its done it will say something about a password to something just ignore it and when the window pops up saying it was successful but you haven't uploaded it to the internet yet go to ok or cancel then  your good to go.

just find the file and do what you normally do to upload it.

  3. your trying to upload the project file of windows movie maker. thats whats wrong.

    dont just "Save" it.

to save it as .wmv, click on "Save As" or "Publish Movie"

  4. Click Save to My Computer.  It's easy to see on the left, if you click Tasks.

This is what creates the WMV file.
