does a windows vista have a built in calendar like an apple mac does?

yes, type calender into the search bar on the start menu and hit enter.

It can set apointments by week, day, year etc, view claneder in day be day, or month by month etc.

or a mini calender ( jsut for viewign dates, not for apointments) is avalable if you click on the clock in the bottom corner.

Yes it does open the start menu and turn on the vista sidebar , it will be there .
