WINRAR PROBLEM PLZ ANSWER?

l am using this file called winRAR that extracts .zip,rar,iso,etc files and when i go to modthesims2.com or some other websites it extracts the file automatically.....it doesn't let me save it onto the desktop or no where it just extracts the file automatically. what can l do so that it doesn't do that anymore? l tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that still doesn't work i even went to C:?/ProgramFiles/Winrar and deleted the data folder but that still didn't work...Could you please help me so that winrar doesn't extract my files automatically....... thanks for answering my question!

It does that because you selected to 'open' files with winrar automatically.   winrar will only open certain filetypes (iso,rar,ace,zip,etc) when it does,  highlight the folders it shows, click the 'extract' button on the top menu,  then select where you want the files to go

if you just want to SAVE a file somewhere from the internet,  right click the download link and select 'save target as'  then select the destination.
