I have roughly 5 acres of pine trees in Greene, NY that need to be cleared out. I know theres people out there that would buy them, but can you come and get them too? I am available to clear them and load them if needed.

Mostly scotch pine, some white spruce and douglas fir. Trees range from 12' - 27'

  1. If it was mine i'd wait for christmas, put a few ads around locally and sell the smallest as christmas trees, perhaps donating a couple of large ones for local town squares, then cut the rest and sell the firewood. The branches will make a nice bonfire on some occasion or other.

  2. If you cut em up into logs, they'd go easily as firewood, but thats time consuming work that would take awhile.

You could try contacting a paper company (like Mead). They used to pay landowners where I lived in southern Ohio to harvest their trees. Alot of landowners benefited really well from the relationship.

Here's the phone number to Mead Consumer Affairs: 800.648.6323. They can at least point you in the right direction.

    Hope it helps.
