WIll my K20Z1 engine fit in my 2000 Honda civic si???

is it a good engine? i want to turbo charge, and everything possible to it. if its not the best, what is the best that will fit into the HONDA CIVIC SI thats dohc and v-tech that i can add preformance parts to make it have the most acceleration and torque.

  1. it's vtec and you are better off keeping the b16a2 in there. intake/exhaust/headers on your b16 and you will go much further.

    k20z1 is a lesser motor...not worth the swap  


  2. A K20 is a pertty fast engine. yes it will fit however you will need to do accouple of modifications. I would perfer the K20 over the B16A anyday.

    How can you say that the k20Z1 is a lesser engine when is more powerful than a B16 by a huge marging on his stock form (52hp/30tq)?

    Back to the main question...

    Since you already have a B16A2 it will be more cost effective to just find a B20 block and use it with your B16 head. With the right parts you can end up with a engine build that produces similar numbers than a K20. These kind of combinations can get you easily to the 12's naturally aspirated more than enough to kick some @$$ around town.

    Believe me use a B20 you won't regret it and you will save a lot of time and trouble.
