  1. Are you mostly drinking reds? This is common in some people who drink reds and get a headache immediately after. White wines are less likely to do this, but the headache could be a result of the sulfites commonly found in many wines (to preserve it further). The point of the sulfite being what irritates your body is a little under debate. Try taking one aspirin *before* you have the wine and see if it helps. It wouldn't help AFTER, but BEFORE it should help you. You can check out the link below for more info.

Note: You can try looking around at stores like Earth Fare & Whole Foods that offer organic wines. Some of these, in addition to being organically made, also are preservative-free (thus sulfite free). I would give that a shot as well. Also makes for a better tasting wine. :) Hope this helps.

  2. Organic wine

  3. Arbor Mist, if you can consider that real wine :P

  4. non alcholic wine

  5. Well, this is easy - YOU CANNOT DRINK WINE! Usually if wine is giving you a headache, then you have a bad reaction to something being used to preserve the wine. It's common. I cannot drink wine coolers; they give me the worse headache and they make me very sick, but I'm usually in too much pain. I stopped dirnking those over 15 years ago. I found another drink that works for me - vodka or rum. You probably have an allergy and the reaction is the headache. I get a stuffy nose when I drink vodka or any liquor with sulfites in it and most alcohol has sulfites. Well, my dr gave me an allergy test and said 'you're allergic to sulfites', so if I want vodka I need to take a claritin or not have any. There are now sulfite-free wines. SO..you will need to pick another drink lady! There are a ton of liquors out there, go find one. Drink a hard liquor - rum, tequila, vodka, etc. Dump the wine, it doesn't agree you OR..you can just keep trying them until you FIND one...
