WJEC GCSE exams, Too much?

Anyone who is taking WJEC GCSE's at the moment think they have a ridiculous amount of papers to sit?

Ive never really thought about it i've just got my head down and revised but I just counted my timetable and by the end of the exams I will have taken 18 different exams! (according to my timetable) I think its more than that even.

I did; English lit, physics 1, chem 1, biology 1 in year 10 so that's 4. (these all come under science but I still sat 3 papers..)

And by the end of these I will have done; 16 more

So thats 20 papers sat.

My cousin in Cheshire, England did 13 and he said that was a lot.

Im doing that double award science as well, its all far too much being im just an average pupil and not a whizz kid, id be suprised to get an A in anything..

Anyone else feeling the pressure?

  1. I've done 18 exams already, and i still have 8 left to go for my gcses, i also have already done 1 gcse last year. i think i have a lot of exams.

  2. That's not that many. I have 24 written exams and 2 orals. Anyway, you shouldn't worry about GCSEs too much. Of course you should try your hardest, but as long as you get above a C in maths, english and science, it doesn't particularly matter what else you get.

  3. Definately!

I've sat 6 exams already (I failed the 3 sciences!)

And as of June 4, I've sat 14 GCSE exams.. I have 7 left! :(

It's a huge amount of work!

Do you do it in the Welsh language?

  4. me too
