Question:

WLAN switch not working?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop that I got about 2 months ago, until just recently I have been able to connect to wireless networks. Now, it says it can't find any and when I try to get it diagnosed it tells me that my Wireless capacity switch must be turned off. It is turned on, and it is still telling me this. Also, I get no green light when it's in the on position, which I did used to get. Did I accidentally turn something off in the computer or is my laptop just broken? Is there anything I can try?

  1. Well you may have inadvertently disabled the connector.  Go to the control panel -- network connections -- right click on the wireless adapter and see if the "Enable" tab is available, if it is, you software disabled it. Just click Enable and see if it comes back.

If that isn't the issue - you will be needing Sony's help or a good Technician!
