WMA to MP3 conversion?

If I have audio files in WMA format and I have to convert them to MP3 format (another story) am I losing much by converting them to MP3 128K versus MP3 256K? I'm not an audiophile so I wonder if I will notice the difference? BTW my originals are backed-up.

  1. If you will be listening through headphones, even pretty decent head phones, you will not notice a difference.  If you are listening through the worlds best sound system with all the bells and whistles, then you will notice some high end distortion.  So as long as you plan on playing these sounds on your iPod, or in the car, or  on your stereo, 128k will be just fine.  256k is just to much space for 99.5% no difference.

(If you are a film student and plan on using these in your score or sound FXs, 256 is the way to go)

  2. You won't notice much unless you are an audiophile @ 128k. Try it out and listen to a few of your favorite songs at 128k and see if you notice the difference. If it bothers you then try 256k, and if that's not enough, stick to WMA.

  3. this might sound reard but follow it the whole way throgh... its free to.

    1. go to this site- downloadhindisongs.blogspot.com/

    2. if u want download songs but it is not nescary.... next press the the rm to mps icon

    3. there will be two icon sayin, download switch one and download switch 2 press on eather one.

    4. if it says bandwidth exedded try again some other time or ressrt your computer.

p.s  msake sure you press save!

  4. MP3 compression does cost a bit in sound quality, but I use it for music that I play in the car.  No detectable loss there.

You may not notice any difference in your home system.  It depends a great deal on the quality of the speakers, the audio characteristics of the room, the Q of the amplifier, s-n ratio of the amp and player.

MP3 is a great way to store a large quantity of music on a single disk.

  5. you can try tuneclone audio converter. my friend recommended it to me. it works really nice. it can convert wma music files (including protected) to mp3 files with very high quality at very fast speed.
