WMP 11 won't open!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am in Windows Vista Home Premium. When I download WMP 11 form the microsoft website it says that there is a newer version of WMP currently installed. What should I do?

  1. go t your control panel and then add and remove programs, delete all the WMP programs in there, and then redownload it.  


  2. remove the previous version of windows media player from add or remove windows components from control panel then reinstall the windows media player 11
