Question:

WOMEN: Would you take a role in a movie if...?

The role is an extra and it pays a few hundred dollars. Basically all I would have to do is pretend to be passed out and allow another person to carry me over the shoulder for like 30 seconds. I would be wearing black dress pants and would be carried over one shoulder with my butt bent over in the air...not across both shoulders like in a "fireman carry". What would you do? Below are some questions I thought up to see what everyone else thinks.

1) Would you be ok with pretending to be "passed out" and letting someone carry you over his/her shoulder? Why or why not?

2) Would it be ok if the person carrying you over the shoulder was a woman? Why or why not?

3) Would it make a difference that you would have to wear black dress pants (say instead of jeans) while you were being carried over the shoulder? Why or why not?

4) If possible, would you take the role of the person doing the carrying and be willing to carry a "passed out" woman over your shoulder? Why or why not?

  1. yeah i would do it.. if you want to be a serious actress one day this is good on camera experience and it's something good to put on a resume..

1.) I would be fine with it because again your making money and getting good experience working on a real movie set.

2.) Yes, because again good on camera experience.

3.) Well personally it wouldn't matter to me, i think dress pants might be more comfortable then jeans.

4.) I would take it, because again if you want to become a serious actress then you need on camera experience it's so good for you to have.

but it sounds like your really don't want to do this, if you don't

want to do this your not being forced, you shouldn't do it if you feel extremely uncomfortable being this "passed out" lady.

  2. I never take a role such a scene! This is not art!Do not do this for money!

  3. Do it. Be good at it. Get famous.

  4. okay. from personal exsprience i had a similar role. i was a beautitian and all i had to do was pretend to cut this chic's hair then these guys came on stage and "killed her" (with pie it was Bugsey Malone) and i had to scream and run off stage but i got scooped up by one of the killers and ran off stage. the end. now I was wearing a skirt and i told the guy that was picking me up to turn his back to the audience so my skirt wouldn't fly up. well he didn't listen and i gave the audience a peek at my underwear. but that was one performance because that was theatre. very embaressing. however you're role THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. you're wear black dress pants. who cares? i think it would be fun personally!

  5. Based on what you have here, I don't see why not... It is just acting.  There isn't any nudity or violence, or anything else like that.  Now, if you are concerned about camera angles and your derrier, that is something only you can answer!  If all else fails, don't do anything that you are not 100% comfortable with!  Good luck & God bless!

  6. There really is no debate here.

    1) Yes!! Why? Because there is nothing wrong with it. Being passed out is good! Very good! It draws attention to you, and you want that, especially in Hollywood. (Plus, if the director likes you enough, he/she might give you lines!!!)

    2) Hm. I'd still go for it. If it's a woman carrying you, I'd be a bit worried about how well she can handle it, but I'd still take it.

    3) Definitely not. Jeans would probably be worse to have to use in multiple scenes like that.

    4) Well, I wouldn't, but that's because I don't have the strength. But, go ahead! Go for it!
