WOMG!!! Why did the neighbors take picture of my dog???!!!?

Question

I was sitting outside and reading my books, when i saw the mysterious neighbour (weird man) take his camera and take picture of my dog. Why did he do this? He is strange man and many problems. Sometimes i hear him barking to my dog? Should i call police? he's very weird mans. PLZ help me i dont no what to do. Will he capture my dog? Maybe he will eat him? im scarred . Thanks for help

yes he has issues. consult a parent and ask them if you should call the police.  keep ur dog inside and if u have an alarm system, that'd be great.  freaky!

The barking at your dog part is weird. If he had a nice camera I'd suggest that he might just be working on photography/photographing animals, but the barking at your dog part just... makes it creepy. I'd probably go ask him what he's up to, and tell him you don't appreciate it.

Well if your neighbor is like me, he thinks the dog is pretty and wants its pic. Nothing creepy, just a pic. Calm down . . .

Whoa the man definitely sounds like he is erm 'dog crazed' :) These may & may not explain things, and help. I do hope something I suggest helps.

1. If you feel violated you need to let him know. If your not sure you can talk to him face to face about it write him a letter, drop it in his mail. Let him know it makes you extremely uncomfortable that he is snapping pictures of your dog, home, & even possibly you.

2. Ask around, does he do this with any other neighbors? If so have they tried speaking to him about it?

3. The howling/barking at your dog means he could consider himself one of your dog's pack. I speak from my own experience on 'pack behavior' with my Chihuahua of all things haha that growling, howling, barking at a dog is a way of simply communicating & yes for the record when my devilish 5lb dog got out of hand I played alpha to her by making her lay & behave as if an alpha were scolding her.

4. Do you keep your dog on a leash inside your yard? what about a fence? If he is coming into your personal property & if you speak to him about it & he still does it ask him to stop or you will contact the authorities over your own well being & the well being of your animal.

There are two probabilities:

It's either the man has some certain brain problems (he loves the dog like a human), or he was just looking around.

Call the police. If you don't want to do that, simply go to their police station.

This is harrasment. I'm pretty sure private property violation is somewhere in there too. So you have perfectly sound reasons to go.

Him barking at your dog can antagonize your dog and it may bite him later on down the road. The pics are probably for when the dog DOES bite him and he can sue you.

If your are anywhere near your dog when he is taking the pics, then he is violating YOUR  privacy. He's not allowed to do that without your permission.

I wouldn't call the police because there is probably nothing they can do.  He probably has a mental disorder or just likes what type of dog you have.  Good luck!

It sounds like he maybe a mentally challenged individual. Photograph him and get his house number and take the picture to the police station, while your dog is locked up in the house of course. He maybe  unstable so keep an eye on your dog when he is around of course.

Make sure your dog is on your property also,I say this because they just had a case on Judge Judy (my dad's show) where a crazy looking man shot a neighbors dog that kept coming on his property. All that owner has to do is show that photo of your dog on his property and say he felt threatened and wammo dead dog and you will get nothing but sorrow because he was protecting himself and his property.

You should leave your dog inside at all times, you never know!!! Yes, call the police at their regular line, (not emergency) and file a report.

Well,

He may be looking to your dog because he wants it. Plus, it is harrasment if someone is photographing private property. DO NOT LET THIS MAN AROUND YOUR DOG. If this happens again, call the police, do not make contact with this man before making contact with the police.
