WOULD THIS SOUND LIKE A GOOD INTRO ON TANG AND SONG DYNASTIES FROM CHINA please help?

Modern society does not often recognize their ancestors struggles to create states, cities, and towns. History was about empires dynasties, and order. Two strong dynasties that ruled china and where famous for their brilliant empire where the Tang and Song dynasties.

however this "struggle to create towns"looksd really funny

i assume that should be "were the Tang and Song dynasties."

but generally, sentences are very rough translation into English...

Its good, English needs to be polished up, but I don't think brilliant is the right word to describe there dynasties.
