  1. I'm sooo pissed off!!!!

I really wanted Collingwood to win and my heart told me to tip them,BUT NOOOO I had to go with statistics and go with Geelong...d**n IT..d**n IT TO h**l!!!!

  2. No, but the Pies too thank Micky. One of the coaching greats when it comes too a game like this. When the Cats played the Swannies, it looked too be at half time a swans game but Geelong only just pulled it off in the final quarter. Also when the cats went too Subiaco, the Question was who will win, Cats or Dockers, but a rush of adrenelin and cats only just pulled it off with a 1 point win leaving the score 89 - 88. Also when the Cats played the Tigers, it was just like the Swans game but Cats were just too good for them, everyone thinks it's going too be a Cats-Hawks grandfinal, but dont get youre hopes up Cats fans...

  3. YES YES YES!!!! OMG YES!!!

    WE WON!!!!

(My hubby is a die hard Cats supporter hehehe)

I have been told I have to sleep on the couch tonight lol!!

  4. Not really. All this "second gear and still winning" rubbish had to come to an end sometime.

At least we know they aren't unbeatable.

  5. Nope, i thought the Pies were guna win coz Geelong has been playing c**p these past couple weeks. it was only a matter of time before they lost to someone and it just happened to be by collingwood. but im so happy the Pies beat Geelong. Go Pies!

    P.S. Happy B'day Rogue!

  6. No because I tipped it would happen and for once I got it right!

  7. yes i am, i can't beleive it!!!!

  8. Hey maybe it was rigged????  Well I was surprised - not so much that Geelong was beaten for the first time this year but that they were absolutely thrashed.  Surely the absence of Chapman couldn't have meant that sort of result would occur.  Got me stumped.   I also think that State of Origin Rugby League match the other night was suspect???  All about money one may well think.

Gotta admit though (grudgingly!) Collingwood looked the real deal didn't they.  Big pressure and fleet of foot and if that match was real then Geelong lacked guts to allow themselves to be beaten so convincingly.

  9. My only concern is, "Why did it have to be Collingwood to beat them".  Anyone but Collingwood.  We will never hear the end of it.... :-)

  10. Nice to see you back big Kev,and i was probably surprised by the margin rather than the result,Geelong were always going to drop a game or 2 this year but i didn't think by that much, probably a much needed reality check for the cats and probably overdue seeing they've escaped a couple of close ones this year.

  11. collingwood lost prelim by 5 Pt's

    not a huge shock

  12. No not surprised and not surprised it was a thrashing.

GFC-B almost said it all, we were playing on history and sheer talent at half pace.  We are heavily down on tackles, hard-ball gets, shepherds and precision.

I was delighted we lost.  We needed to lose one and to get an ***-kick from an old rival - even better.

For those claiming huge significance ... Round 9 last year wasn't it (?) that the Cats were embarrassed by the Kangaroos.  Headlines "Pathetic Pussycats", "Kardinia Kavers" etc etc.  I hope it has a similar effect on the team.

Time for "The Lid" to go back on!!!

  13. Could'nt agree with you more gfcbarra..... Blake just dos'nt have what Ottens or King have.... If you ask me thats where our game has taken a turn for the worst this season.... Last nights game was terrible and very disturbing for our club.... we were bound to lose a game but by that score its just embarrasing.... I have already been called by friends who support Collingwood to rub salt in the wound and I know this will take a long while to live down.... lets just hope that next week things look better.... Its a scary thought knowing we have the Bulldogs and Hawks games coming up lets hope we get back in form before then!!!!

  14. Yes, what a game! I never tip against my team.

  15. Not suprised at all, I knew the cats had to loose one sooner or later.  I actually tipped against them this week as I just had a gut feeling that the pies would beat them, but I was in fact suprised by the margin though.

  16. Thank goodness for that, my dad whose passed away was a mad keen geelong man, but my partner is a mad keen collingwood fan, so didnt know which way to go, but there are going to be a few more upsets I reckon before the weekends out! :)

  17. definitely, collingwood play differently when theres a lot of stake in a game

  18. no

    i tipped them

    but i always tip them

    go pies

  19. Nope, not surprised at all. sob...sob. It was due. But why oh why Collingwood had to beat them. Now I have to live with my husband rubbing it in. Its bad enough I have to look at his Collingwood shrine.(sorry all those mad Pie supporters, nothing against you guys!). We played like rubbish and the pies didnt give them an inch. The pies deserved to win. We now need to pull our heads in, and play football, the way we use to. Anyway Im going to bed and putting ears plugs in so I dont hear my husband rave on!

  20. No Not suprised. Always knew my boys had it in them.

    Go The MIGHTY MAGGIES

  21. I'm  not surprised by the result, as I though it was time for Geelong to lose a game with the way they've been playing, but I'm definitely surprised by the score

  22. Im surprised we won by such a big margin!  The boys really came together and just played like it was the grand final.

It was a PERFECT birthday pressie for me :))))

I cant wait to watch the replay on Fox Sports !!

  23. I'm so HAPPY!! finally Geelong has lost. If Hawthorn looses and the Doggies win then the Doggies will be number 1. Hehe :)

  24. Hi Big Kev, I agree with what I said as Hotmum lol

Did you get my email? :-(

Anyway I slept in my sons bed lol....not because I was told to by hubby but because our 4 yr old fell asleep with his dad watching a movie lol.

    Hubby still mad Collingwood won!

    YAY!!! Good old Collingwood forever!

  25. Clubs are always a chance to win so i am not suprised, dont ever write a team off just coz they have been playing c**p for a bit.

    GO PIES. DOWN WITH GEELONG.

  26. No not surprised. In '06 Collingwood demolished Geelong by 106pts.  Fridays defeat was the Cats biggest loss since that game.  Collingwood were not given much credit for last years prelim final 5pt loss considering they had played in Perth the previous week.  The pies are the real deal , even without Clement and Buckley .

  27. Yeah, a few upsets this week including the mighty Crows, Kev. I expect you'll bounce back and whip the Bombers this week though.

  28. Not really. Geelong has been playing lazy, half-a** football most of the season. Barely getting over Sydney, Richmond, Freo, Brisbane when all four of these sides should have been thrashed by Geelong--this hiding Friday night, I knew it would happen. Yes, I tipped a loss for the Cats, I just felt it coming on, but not the thrashing the final score showed.

Brad Ottens out, Steven King to St. Kilda--now it was seen why Mark Blake was dropped for the Grand Final.

From what I have read so far this morning (Friday in the USA), Matty Scarlett was made to look like he was in the under 16's. If he is the best fullback in the game, maybe this will wake him up that if you are the best side (Geelong should be) then you better play like it every week.

Yes, I am disappointed that the Catters lost, surprised, no. Geelong is the hunted, no longer the hunter. I hope Bomber Thompson, Neal Balme and the coaching staff respond to the wake up call to get it together. Losing is a disease, if you are a winner, things will be repaired. Losers look forward to losing again.

Geelong needs to get well next week against Carlton.

  29. OMG i know i cant believe it.............i been saying that geelong were gonna hit the skids eventually but didnt think it was gonna be this early in and OMG they got thrashed by collngwood and by so much..........out of all of us here who do tipping my 4 year old son was the only one to pick collingwood.......hes now winning d**n

  30. Relieved they've had a loss.. yes, Suprised they were thrashed.. no, By Collingwood!!.. Yes very surprised..

Not a good start for my tippings thats for sure!!

  31. It was gonna happen sooner or later. Lately Geelong have been in a form slump and haven't been playing their best.

Even though i am not a collingwood fan, good on Collingwood for giving Geelong a well-deserved thrashing.
