I have to make this quick since I have school in the morning.

But what an EFFIN AMAZING GAME!

If it wasn't for Marc Andre Fleury, we wouldn't have won.

And I give HUGE credit to SERGEI GONCHAR!

As soon as he stepped out onto the ice for the PP, I knew it would happen!

Comments about the game?

GO PENS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. What an amazing game.

    Fluery was dominant.

Osgood really didn't have that good of game because for one the Pens had trouble even getting the puck down at the Reds end but when they did every puck either hit the crossbar or went in.

Even no he is sucking in the series I give big credit to Malkin for finding Sykora and hitting him with the assist for the win.

  2. i was watching it at home and i left at the end of regulation, about 2 hours later i got home and couldn't believe that the game was still going.  wow that was amazing.

  3. Agreed. Detroit was stripped of the cup tonight and I'm lovin it.

  4. Who won?

  5. AAAAAH! Three OT's, the Pens live to die another day, and I HAVE TO MISS IT BECAUSE I SPENT ALL MY MONEY ON MY STUPID APARTMENT! You guys who got to stay up and watch the game last night, you don't know how lucky you are. I couldn't even get the French station to come in. I was dying last night wondering what was happening. Congrats to the Pens for a hard-fought battle. Maybe I'll sneak into the sports bar downtown to watch game six...*sigh*

  6. But who are you cheering for?  I can't tell.

  7. Fleury was godlike - only one keeping the Pens alive throughout the OT's.  Some crappy officiating calls throughout the game though for BOTH teams.

:/  We'll be ready for game 6 in Pittsburgh.

EDIT:  I agree with rockstar about the stars of the game.

Lol - towards the end of the game Malkin looked like a ragdoll, thought he was just going to fall onto the ice and fall asleep.

  8. Pens did not deserve the win.

  9. stars

    1-Sykora

    2-Fleury

    3-Osgood

  11. that was so awesome! sykora is my new hero

  12. idk what you guys think but i have said it all along gonchar is the pens best all around player i have been telling my mom since the playoffs started i dont know what the pens would do without him he makes our offense run he hardly ever makes a mistake one of the most consistent players in the nhl i knew it as well as soon as they said gonchar is gonna give it a go i said mom where gonna score he will set up the offense and set up our goal for real i dont think we could win without gonchar he is by far the pens best player and one of the most underrated defenseman in the league he is much more than just an offnesive defensman and oh ya im only 13 btw and go pens bring the cup back to the burgh the city has been waiting a while

  13. Weren't you begging for Ty Conklin to get the start for game 5?

If Michelle listened to you I would be hammered right now.

  14. I learned a lot about the Pens tonight, things I could not evaluate in any other game throughout this season, or in any recent previous season, for that matter. I think the best way to judge players is when they are on the brink of exhaustion in a game like this. Their individual abilities, determination, and, most importantly, faults really shine through more than ever. That said, after nearly two full games of straight hockey in one night, I have some new favorite players on this team.

Oh yeah, and the game was AMAZING! GO PENS!!

  15. Sykora...did something right.... OMG!

And, Malkin didn't turn it over every time.... Hossa was good, Crosby was good, Fleury was downright amazing, and we're headed home...Let's hope we keep it up in game six!

Have a good one, I've got to get off.. Up in 5 hrs for college.

    -_-

Melanie, the officiating was bad BOTH ways, but you play on.

  16. Gonchar = magic

aint that right, I <3 Gonchar?

  17. first off i'd just like to say how happy i am that the penguins who. that game is definatly one of the best games i've seen since i've been a hockey fan.

when the penguins got that 4 minute power play i was like its going to happen, in just a matter of time.

now we really do have a chance to win the stanley cup. HECK YES!!!!!

My dad was so sure that tonight would be the last hockey game until in october & i said no dad the penguins will find a way to win & they sure did.

    GO PENGUINS!!

  18. That was good, that was AWESOME!!! But sad to say, I don't see any way the Pens will win this series.

  19. That was one heck of a pass from behind the net to Gonchar. and No wing was covering either point

  20. I 10000% agree with you about Fleury.  He held that game together....and if it wasn't for him we would have lost in the 2nd period.  The first round of OT held what, their 10 shots to our 2?  wow......Amazing Game!!! : )

  21. I wuv Sykora!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wth is w/the TDT? aka thumbs down troll?

  22. I'm a die hard Red Wings fan. That being said, the Pens Played very good hockey tonight, finally showed why they are in the playoffs, and definitely earned the win. I still think the two goalie obstruction calls were junk calls, but they weren't the ones that decided the game, and the high stick call was legit. Great game Pens, congrats to the fans, and see ya in game 6.

  23. Awesome game...just plain awesome.  MAF was amazing...now if we could just get Malkin to come back and actually play we'd be good.

Who ever won though...it was a well played game by both teams...and the winner would have deserved it.  (I'm just glad it was the Pens.)
