WPA isnt working properly ....HELP!!!?

Ok so i just got a wireless router, Linksys.

My computer, the one the router is directly connected to works fine. However when I try to connect my moms laptop it tells me I need a WPA key or something. I typed the serial code on the bottom of the router and it says its configuring and connecting and what not but when I try to go on the Internet using my moms laptop it wont let me.

Any help?

Log on to the router at http://192.168.1.1  login and go to the wireless settings. click on security, you can read the code. You can also reset the code at that point.. The serial number is NOT the WPA code at all.  Use the wired machine to do that.
