WPBSA having massive ticket sales for 2013 World Snooker Championship – Snooker News
With each passing day, the game of snooker is reaching new horizons across the globe and is becoming one of the most watched sports around the world. Every year, thousands of snooker fans flock to the snooker venues in different regions to support the events
and the professional players. The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield is the biggest venue for the sport where the World Snooker Championship is organised every year.
Last season, during the final proceedings of 2011 snooker events, the snooker governing body, World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) secured a record number of ticket sales of the 2012 World Snooker Championship at the Crucible venue.
Following the sales, snooker lovers from around the globe gathered at the arena to watch the potters in action.
This year as well, the WPBSA is having tremendous ticket sales for the upcoming 2013 World Snooker Championship. Thousands of tickets have already been sold and the WPBSA officials are expecting more sales in the next week. According to an official, 14,552
tickets have been sold in the recent week which is a rapid sale. The WPBSA is hoping that the rest of the tickets will be out soon.
Speaking to the local media, World Snooker spokesperson said, “These opening sales figures are extraordinary and show the massive appetite people have for this tournament. At this rate, every seat for every session will be sold out before long. If you are
hoping to be at the event to experience the magical atmosphere then book immediately!”
He further added, “Don't miss out because this is going to be an amazing tournament. Nearly 200 Premium and Hospitality packages were purchased on the first day of sales so if you want that extra-special experience you also need to book quickly.”
The 2013 World Snooker Championship will commence according to the scheduled calendar dates of the World Snooker. The event is usually held in April-May at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. This year’s World Championship will be another thrilling competition
not only for the fans but also for the players around the world.
It will be exciting to see the top guns of snooker battle it out in the new snooker season as many new faces will be trying to make a name for themselves during the tournaments.
