WR Antonio Brown backs Pittsburgh Steelers to outwork to defeat Denver Broncos – NFL News
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown does not want to leave any stone unturned as far as preparations for the season opener against quarterback Peyton Manning led Denver Broncos go, and has strongly propagated the mantra that outworking the opponents
is necessary to defeat them.
Antonio, who is another high-profile receiver along with veteran Mike Wallace, was referring to his habit of spending at least 10 minutes extra to normal workload while practicing catching passes as the teammates rush to locker room even after doing some
rigorous training.
He said:
"If you want to be the best, you have to simply outwork your opponent."
The player has long believed in the wisdom of the additional workout and there is no stopping of it for him irrespective of the fact the team look far ahead in readiness for the weekend game.
He apparently is upbeat about the team’s chances of victory on the weekend but still aims to make sure perfection in all aspects of training, fitness and form. The receiver, who has been landed a $42 million, six-year hefty deal by the Steelers earlier in
the offseason, has a significant role to play on the offensive line.
Brown along with Wallace and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger form one of the strongest offensive lines in the league and if they are able to find their best forms in individual capacities and coordinate well to unleash a wave of consistent attacks on the
Broncos defence, a win must be on their way.
The role of Steelers offence becomes even more significant given they have a better attack line in front of them. The Broncos offence is led by the only four-time most valuable player (MVP) of the league Peyton Manning and the team will be in consistent
pressure to remain ahead of them on the points table. So there should be no time for leniency for them this weekend. As a matter of fact, they even might not have time to consolidate their strength.
Apparently, the Steelers are hopeful of the offence’s better performance this year, under the transformed run-focused strategy of new offensive coordinator Todd Haley. The result shall speak how effective the scheme is.
