WR Jacoby Jones believes Baltimore Ravens’ joining will bring him more success-NFL News
Wide receiver, Jacoby Jones, who has deserted the Houston Texans to join the Baltimore Ravens, is optimistic about his future success in the National Football League (NFL).
Jones has compared the move to his decisions of switching his school and college, which had proven to be turning point in his student life, bringing a tremendous success and achievements for him.
He is confident that the team switching will also result in a greater amount of success in his professional league career. The move has come about after the player played for Texans five consecutive seasons.
The WR said:
"Change is good in life. I left one high school, went to another and I was successful. I left one college and went to Lane College and was successful. And now I'm leaving Houston and I will be successful."
Jones played his last game for Texans against Ravens in the American Football Conference (AFC) division. The game ended on a dismal note as after he muffed a punt return, Ravens took the game away from opposition.
While the player’s hopes of success are yet to be realised, he seems to be a right fit in Ravens, who were in need of a returner.
The player himself seems to be very happy over his arrival in Baltimore, saying he looked to have been signed by the team even before his arrival there for a meeting with officials.
He describes the situation as saying:
"When I came here on my visit, they welcomed me here like I was already signed. The other attraction is the opportunity. They are contenders. That's the big thing right there."
The Texans, meanwhile, do not stand much affected from Jones’ departure as their main WR, Andre Johnson, is expected to join the squad hundred percent in health and fitness.
Johnson had to sit out most part of the 2011 regular season due to a hamstring problem. He missed the season’s start and then played a few games before going out again due to the problem.
The improved receivers’ situation will also help Ravens, who have looked at their needs at all positions.
So it is a win-win situation for both teams.
