WRX exhaust question.?

Does turbo/downpipe have to come off when I change my up-pipe? 2005 EJ20...

no the turbo can stay....the downpipe does have to come off if i remember correctly as the rear 2 bolts are under it. get a block of wood and jack up the motor on the passenger side manifold/ header just enough to get clearance for the uppipe. also the sensor in the uppipe....some keep it some dont. you have to get a resistor and plug it in to the connector if you remove it. google which size resistor you need. alot of time the sensor breaks up and totally thrashes the compessor blades. be prepared for about a 45 min to an hour long fight and some bloody knuckles
