Anyone else been watching World Super Bike

Greatest Races on ESPN Classic ?

Tonight - Assen 2004 - 5 still in with a chance !!

A couple of days ago showed :

Monza 1996 - Epic battle between Chili, Slight,

Foggy and Corsa.

Monza 1999 - Edwards, Foggy, Chili & Corsa.

Those were the days - Racing at it's best !!

Other great classics shown on ESPN included :

1979 Silverston - Roberts, Sheene & Hartog

1980 Silverston - Mamola, Roberts,

Lucchinelli and Rossi (Graziano)

1982 Brands - Sheene & Huwen

1984 Donny - Haslam, Sheene, McElnea

and Gardner (memorable cat's whisker finish)

Hey Girl Racer,

I find it hard to pick one race out of so many.

I think that the WSB race of my life was the whole '93 season.

Foggy with 11 race wins and Ru$$ell with 5 ............. but Scott won the title.

It was the start of one of the biggest love / hate relationships in bike history.

It also opened our ( the British fans ) to the greatness of US riders. Aaron Slight put up a good fight as well !

Hi Girl Racer. I havnt been watching the ESPN classic channel. I dont even know if I have it !! But any Race with Haga Fighting in it is a classic to me. I just love his close racing style.

As for men in Leathers. I think you might need to see someone at the same time as me. Fetishes can be addictive. Maybe neither of us is wired right. lol

Could be the fact that i don't have cable anymore.

since the summer break I have been watch some DVDs of the past races and the 2002 wsbk season with colin and troy bayliss was an incredible season. The last two races were incredible. Banging fairings and swapping every other corner was some off the best action i have ever seen. as well as being fortunate enough to have those two as well as corser, bostrom, haga, toseland, hodgson, frankie, carl. It will be some years before we see some more greats like those at the same time
