World number 93, Johanna Larsson, ousted the 147th ranked American, Alexa Glatch, in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 in just under an hour.
Kiki Bertens
World number 80, Kiki Bertens, defeated the 17-year-old Kazakh, Yulia Putintseva, in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in 65 minutes at the hard courts of Cincinnati.
Andrea Hlavackova
World number 90, Andrea Hlavackova, survived the onslaught of the inferior ranked 21-year-old Aussie, Olivia Rogowska, to win the final qualifier in three sets 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4.
Yaroslava Shvedova
World number 45, Yaroslava Shvedova, ended the cameo of the 79th ranked Georgian, Anna Tatishvili, in the final qualifier with straight sets 7-5, 6-2 triumph.
Urszula Radwanska
World number 46, Urszula Radwanska, defeated the 18-year-old booming Briton, Laura Robson, in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 to end her dreams of reaching the main round.
Casey Dellacqua
World number 87, Melina Czink, was stunned by the 108th ranked Aussie, Casey Dellacqua, in straight sets 6-4, 7-6(2) to deprive her of the first round berth.
Akgul Amanmuradova
World number 24, Akgul Amanmuradova, stunned the 20-year-old Czech beauty starlet, Karolina Pliskova, and deprived her of the main round spot with straight sets 6-3, 6-2 conquest.
Vania King
World number 52, Vania King, defeated the 83rd ranked Romanian, Irina-Camelia Begu, in an epic three-setter 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to reach the opening round at Cincinnati.
Sesil Karatantcheva
World number 105, Sesil Karatantcheva, defeated the superior ranked Belarusian, Olga Govortsova, in three sets 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 in a battle of two hours and 27 minutes.
Other winners include the likes of Eleni Daniilidou and
Madison Keys who will be seen in action in the opening round of the Western and Southern Open at Cincinnati.
The pickup players from the list of successful qualifiers who are most probable to register an upset include the golden set record holders, Yaroslava Shvedova, and the younger sister of the Wimbledon finalist Agnieszka, Urszula
Radwanska. It is expected to be another thrilling tournament.
