Nothings been inked for either guy. Jones and Pavlik are the two front runners to face him, thats about all. I'm hoping it's Jones, and then Calzaghe-Pavlik happens down the road. Arum promotes Pavlik and Don King promotes Jones so there's a promotional battle as well.

Nothing is finalized yet.  Frank Warren (Calzaghe's promoter) merely had a talk with Bob Arum (Pavlik's promoter) and they both agreed that a fight this fall would be a very good idea- they didn't sign anything or make a deal, they merely had a preliminary discussion.  The Jones fight may still come off, but it might not, and the Pavlik fight may get done, or it could never leave the negotiating table.  So, as of right now, it is unclear who Joe Calzaghe's next opponent is, but it will MOST LIKELY be either Roy Jones, Jr. or Kelly Pavlik (I personally would prefer Pavlik, but I'm skeptical if it will get done).

Mark is right there is nothing final yet.  However, as a Youngstown native, I would love to see the Pavlik fight.  It was make history since noone else has held 3 different division titles at since 1937.  If you haven't seen Pavlik fight you should watch the upcoming fight on Saturday.  He is a pure boxer with one punch knock out power.
