Bill Stewart or commonly known as (Stew), is really just a fill in for the void for the head coaching job at WVU until Tommy Bowden becomes available at WVU.

I have this akward feeling that the officials at WVU had this in mind and therefore felt Stewart can get WVU 1 or 2 good years after that

is in question, bad thing is unless Clemson wins the ACC in 1 or 2 years , Bowden be looking for a head coaching job. Does Bowden end up at WVU? Your thoughts on this

  1. It's not out of the question.  He is a go-getter in terms of wanting to move up in the college football world as a coach.  Tommy was very successful when he coached at Tulane but he moved out to move up to a school that could get him more recognition.  He will likely continue to climb that ladder but I suspect that he may be holding on at Clemson until his dad finally retires at Florida State and wanting to move into his job.  Great question!!!

  2. It just doesnt make sense to hire a head coach with the idea of firing him in a few years. I believe any program is going to hire a head coach with the idea of keeping him and winning championships etc. If they wanted Tommy that bad they would have tried harder to get him when they were in the search for a head coach. That is if they were willing to spend the money.

  3. prob depends on the recoed with interm

  4. I don't think WVU really cares that much about their coach. I think Stew works, so they hired him. It's not like an SEC school that is looking for the best guy they can, and are willing to pay him 4 million bucks a year. Otherwise they would have ended up with Saban instead of RR.
