WW2 Navy Vets, I need your help!!!

My Great Grand Father was in the Navy during WW2, His ship was called the SS John P Grey. Now, everyone in the family has tried to get information on this ship for him. We have looked for Hours and Hours on line, Dozens of Libraries, and everywhere.

The only article we found was about three paragraphs long and did not give much information on the ship or its history. The only thing we know about it is that for its time the technology was very advanced. Nothing more except for what my Great Grandfather knows about it.

Did you ever hear about this ship, where it has been, Do you know of any thing about it on line or anywhere, where we may gain access to this article?

It would mean so much to him, & the family.

Thank you very much for your time.

And thank you for Fighting for our Country.

  1. I think you're searching for the wrong ship. Try the USS JOHN P. GRAY, (DE 673). It was a WW2 Buckley Class Destroyer Escort. There is lots of information on that ship and that type of ship.

  2. Do you really think an 80 year old would be using the internet?
