WWE 2011 drafting comes to an end
With a total of 30 drafts during the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) draft period, Smackdown has benefited a lot this time, with a number of new wrestlers coming its way. However, they have lost some pretty big superstars including the Big Show and the
Great Khali, who are going to Monday Night Raw.
Each superstar represents either Raw or Smackdown. The WWE draft takes place each year after Wrestlemania and during the drafting period, 30 drafts are made which means that 30 superstars’ get selected for either show.
One of the most shocking drafts was Sheamus’s draft to Smackdown from Raw. This draft is going to benefit Smackdown a lot as Sheamus is one of the rising superstars of the WWE and has one championship title to his credit.
Other than that, Beth Phoenix and Tyler Rex were drafted to Raw from Smackdown while Tamina, Alex Riley and Tyson Kid were drafted to Smackdown.
Ted Dibiase has also been drafted to Smackdown, which seems like a good draft for Smackdown but since Smackdown lost Kofi Kingston to Raw, it looks Raw is going to be happy with Kingston’s experience and athleticism in this case.
Moving on, Raw lost Natlya and William Regal while Smackdown had to give away Chris Masters and Drew Macintyre.
Drew and Chris have been performing very well since the past couple of weeks and Raw has more competitive superstars, it is not going to be easy for them to makr their own space in the ring.
Besides that, Jack Swagger has been drafted to Raw but his draft was overshadowed by Alberto Del Rio, who was also sen to Raw. Alberto has hit the ground ever since he joined the WWE one year ago. In the short time, he managed to win the Royal Rumble and
compete for the World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania.
Mark Henry and Randy Orton have been drafted to Smackdown. Yes, the Viper is now going to be an active member of Smackdown and this will give Smackdown one exceptional crowd pleaser.
Finally, John Cena was drafted to Smackdown. The professor of thugonomics will now be holding classes in the Smackdown arena. This will give Smackdown a reason to celebrate because the superstar is a world renowned wrestler and his fan following is huge.
It seems that both of the shows are now going to be affected in their own respective ways with new superstars representing them and the coming couple of weeks are going to be crucial for both of the shows.
