WWE All Stars gets the “Million Dollar” DLC, THQ announces more will follow
It is turning out to be yet another busy week in the world of video games, as a host of developers are announcing Downloadable Content Packs for their respective titles, while Bodycount gives gamers a date to mark down on their calendars.
Fans of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have another reason to rejoice as THQ, the game's developer is set to release a host of downloadable content for the game over the coming months.
While many consider All Stars to be a bit of an offshoot from the regular WWE Smackdown Versus Raw series, and one could not blame them with the game’s exaggerated moves and steroid pumped physiques, it is a popular game among wrestling fans nonetheless.
The first of the DLCs has been released on both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace, for gamers to download. “The Million Dollar Pack” will cost gamers 160 Microsoft points or £1.99 on the PlayStation.
While many gamers may not remember who the million dollar man is, he is widely regarded as one of the earliest superstars to have awed audiences.
While the Million Dollar Man would most likely be mistaken for being a pimp if he was still around, due to his excessive use of 'bling' and jewellery, he still has quite a following and the fact that gamers, young and old, can finally play as him, is a positive.
THQ did not stop there as they released a list of DLCs set to follow the release of “The Million Dollar Pack” over the coming weeks.
The R-Truth pack is next in line and is set to hot the PSN and XBLM on the 6th of July. Unlike the first DLC, the R-Truth pack will be available to download for free.
Releasing on the same date, but not for the same price, is “The All-Time Greatest Pack”. It includes a number of fan favourite characters, both old and new. Chris Jericho, Jerry “The King” Lawler and tag team legends, Hawk and Animal will all be available
for download via the respective online stores.
Players will have to part with a slightly larger chunk of their wallet as “The All-Time Greatest Pack” will come in at a slightly pricey £3.99, or 320 Microsoft Points.
THQ also announced the Southern Charisma Pack for a slightly more affordable, £2.99 or 240 Microsoft Points. Though seemingly lacking in charisma, the pack will add Big Boss Man, Mark Henry and Michael Hayes to the already impressive roster. The pack is
set for release on the 3rd of August, later this year.
