WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio loses match to Big Show during Friday Night SmackDown – WWE Update
The World’s largest athlete, the Big Show left an amazing impact on the crowd as he defeated the WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio in front of his Mexican community during Friday Night SmackDown on October 21.
The Friday Night SmackDown segment started with the WWE Champion heading towards the ring. The WWE Champion talked about the WWE Championship match against John Cena at Vengeance. He stated that he will defend his WWE Title on Sunday in the Last Man Standing
Match. The WWE Champion stated that the scheduled match against Big Show was not going to take place as he had gotten injured by John Cena on Monday.
SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long came out and said that Del Rio was cleared to compete in the match by WWE’s official physician. Teddy stated that Del Rio did not want to fight against Big Show therefore he was making excuses. Then, the GM asked
WWE Universe to give their votes whether the match should be taken place or not. The WWE Universe voted in favour of the Big Show and the match was finally approved. The WWE Champion left the ring by saying that he will make the Big Show tap during SmackDown.
The fight took place at the end of Friday Night SmackDown segment as the main event. The Big Show got the momentum first and as he sent Del Rio to the mat. The World’s largest athlete punished the WWE Champion during the bout. At the end, Del Rio was successful
in locking the Big Show into his brutal Armbreaker submission. The World’s largest athlete amazingly unlocked that submission due to having massive power.
Big Show was ready to finish with a big choke-slam but Ricardo Rodriguez, the personal announcer of Del Rio, attacked Big Show from behind and caused a disqualification. Afterwards, the World Heavyweight Champion, Mark Henry came out and attacked his Vengeance
opponent. The World’s largest athlete choke-slammed the World’s Strongest Man laying him down to the mat as the WWE Universe applauded the Big Show. Henry and Show will collide at Vengeance.
