WWE Rankings till June 21, 2010 – Part 1
It has been an exciting and tough week for the professional wrestling world. WWE has been rocked by the attacks of NXT rookies from wrestling season one. These wrestling rookies have been demanding full time contracts on Monday Night RAW. The NXT rookies appeared on RAW and gave General Manager Bret ‘The Hit Man’ Hart a beating of his life. Bret Hart was given a deadline till Sunday to respond to the demands of NXT rookies. Wrestling fans are eagerly waiting for things to come to a normal level but the situation created by NXT rookies has threatened the entire infrastructure of Monday Night RAW.

The ‘Big Show’ is on the top in wrestling rankings this week. Big Show who fights originally on Friday Night Smack Down came on RAW this week to pair up with the famous TV actor Mark Feuerstein. Big Show’s team defeated the tag team of arrogant wrestler Ted DiBiase and Virgil in a one-sided match. Big Show then went on to Smack Down to win another tag team match against the tag team of Jack Swagger and C M Punk. This time round, it was Rey Mysterio who paired up with the big heavy giant. These huge wins have promoted Big Show to the top position from the second slot from last week.

It is the tag team partner of Big Show and the high flying Rey Mysterio who is on the second position. Though Rey earned a lot of points due to his win with Big Show, the Hispanic wrestler finished the week at the second position because Kane executed his dreaded move called the “Tomb Stone Pile Driver” on Rey after he won the match. Rey Mysterio has received many beatings from the big red monster Kane in the last few weeks. Rey Mysterio needs to win the World Heavy Weight Championship to win back the first slot in wrestling rankings.

Fortunately for Kofi Kingston, he is still sitting pretty on the third position. Kofi Kingston, who is the reigning Inter Continental Wrestling Champion, received a beating from Drew McIntyre after Kofi tried to attack Drew by fighting Drew’s personal security force. However, Kofi Kingston saw a rankings boost when he teamed up with his NXT rookie Mike McGillicutty to beat the team of Mark Henry and Lucky Cannon on NXT wrestling season 2.  Kofi Kingston will defend his title against Drew McIntyre in the upcoming Fatal Four Way ‘Pay per View’ in a few days time. A win or a loss can effectively change his ranking after the ‘Fatal Four Way’.

Youth icon and WWE champion John Cena sits on the fourth position. John Cena will defend his WWE championship against the Rated – R, ‘Edge’, the Celtic Warrior, ‘Sheamus’ and the Predator Randy Orton in the upcoming Fatal Four Way ‘Pay per View’. John Cena was able to fight back the NXT rookies who attacked him on Monday Night RAW. However John Cena was unable to save General Manager Bret ‘The Hit Man’ Hart when he was attacked by NXT rookies. John Cena and Bret ‘The Hit Man’ Hart are long time friends and are irritated by the demands and attacks of NXT rookies.

Next in line is the controversial Rated – R Superstar, ‘Edge’ who is on fifth place in the wrestling rankings. Edge, who is sometimes called the ‘Ultimate Opportunist’ paired with the Celtic Warrior Sheamus to fight with the tag team of WWE Champion John Cena and the apex predator Randy Orton. The match was interrupted when the news came about the attack on Bret “The Hit Man” Hart. Many believe that Edge who is one of the competitors for the WWE championship on Fatal Four Way will win the title and start a new era of controversy.

One loss or a win can change the rankings of these wrestlers. Keep your fingers crossed as your favourite wrestlers fight for honour, glory and fame.
