WWE SmackDown & RAW: Kane and The Miz win their respective Money in the Bank Ladder Matches
Wrestlers taste steel when they fight in the Money in the Bank ladder matches. The latest Money in the Bank pay-per-view presented two Money in the Bank ladder matches. One match involved 8 wrestling superstars from RAW, and the other, 8 wrestling superstars from WWE SmackDown.
Both matches were filled with destruction, suffering and carnage as bodies got shattered when they collided with different ladders in the ring. It was the “Awesome One”, the current United States Champion, The Miz, who won the Money in the Bank Ladder match involving RAW wrestling superstars. The match featured some great action-packed moments.
The apex predator of WWE, the ‘Viper’ Randy Orton, electrified the professional wrestling world as he delivered three devastating R.K.O.s in a row. On the other hand, the high flying Evan Bourne succeeded in taking his revenge from Randy Orton, as he executed his famous wrestling finisher called the ‘Air Bourne’.
However, the most famous wrestling moment came when the Scottish wrestling superstar, Drew McIntyre, was lying down on the Spanish announcers’ table. The current Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston, climbed a ladder outside the ring. Then Kingston executed a stylish but effective leg drop and landed on Drew McIntyre’s neck. This leg drop was so successful that Kofi Kingston broke the Spanish announcers’ table. Both Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston were lying down on the ring floor and no one came for help.
When everyone was down and out, it was the former WWE Champion, Randy Orton, who climbed the ladder and almost reached the briefcase. Randy Orton was just moments away from becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. But just when Randy Orton was about to retrieve the briefcase, the current United States Champion, The Miz, came from behind and pushed Randy Orton from the ladder. Randy Orton somersaulted in the air and fell on the ring floor. There was no way Randy Orton could get up after the devastating fall. The Miz took advantage of the situation, climbed the ladder and became Mr. Money in the Bank. The Miz has received a contract which allows him to challenge and wrestle the WWE Champion at any time up to one year.
The SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match was more devastating, and involved (literal) bloodbath as wrestlers collided with ladders. This match was unique as it involved two big giants of the professional wrestling world: Big Show and the Big Red Monster, Kane. The match started as Big Show delivered huge chops on the chest of his opponents and knocked down all the wrestlers off the ring. However, Big Show was too heavy for a normal ladder. Big Show brought in a special purpose-built ladder which could withstand the weight of up to 500 pounds.
The other wrestlers used ladders as weapons of mass destruction, and banged the bodies of their opponents with the steel ladders. After all was said and done, it was the Big Red Monster Kane who reached the top of the world, retrieved the briefcase and became Mr. Money in the Bank.
Now the big question is when Kane and The Miz will cash in their Money in the Bank contracts. The history of professional wrestling tells us that all winners of the Money in the Bank Ladder matches attack their opponents when they are at their weakest. Both Kane and The Miz have a sadistic mind and both love to inflict pain and punishment on their opponents. There will be more carnage and suffering as The Miz and Kane cash in their Money in the Bank contracts.
