Hopefully they made this move to make room for some younger talent that they have. I also read online that they are bringing back Psycho Sid.

There is no official reason why the superstars were released. I think that it was because they didn't have skills or were unpopular.

The superstars released today were Stevie Richards, Colin Delaney, The Highlanders: Rory and Robbie McAllister, Cherry, and referee Wes Adams.

The superstars released last week were Big Daddy V, Domino, Shannon Moore, Braden Walker, Nunzio, James Curtis, and referee Nick Patrick.

Six superstars & a referee were released as of last week. On August 7th, the WWE came to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Braden Walker, & the release of ECW Superstars Nunzio & James Curtis, Smackdown Superstars Shannon Moore, Domino, & Big Daddy V, & WWE referee Nick Patrick as of August 8th. The WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.

Batista, HHH, Colin delaney.

Batista got released due to the sudden leakage of steroids from his nerves.

HHH asked his own release because he want to stand for The post of PRESIDENT of USA because he thinks that he is very good at politcs.

Delaney could not control his rage and was found guilty for injuring KANE, KHALI, SHOW, MARK etc, single handedly so WWE decided to release him for the sake of health of others.

Rob McAllister (Sorry if It's not Rob, I'm not sure if it's right)

Rory + Rob were the Highlanders.
