WWE: The Evolution of Nexus, NXT rookies consisting of 7 menacing wrestlers
Some call it the most dominant group in the professional wrestling today, while others consider it a bunch of gym rats with the sole purpose of loot and plunder. Nevertheless, what ever you call them, one thing is for certain that the Nexus has brought havoc and destruction in the professional wrestling world. Currently there seems to be no force on RAW or Smack Down which can stop this wild group
Nexus is a group of seven young former wrestling rookies who competed on NXT against each other to become the next breakout star of WWE. After the completion of NXT, it was Wade Barrett, who won the competition and became the next break out star of WWE. Then some strange thing happened. Wade Barrett, who calls himself a visionary person, told the professional wrestling world that he had made a pledge of loyalty with other former NXT rookies. He demanded full time wrestling contracts for all the former NXT rookies.
That was the start of contention between the former NXT rookies and the WWE administration. The former NXT rookies combined their forces and called themselves the Nexus. The then General Manager of Raw, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart fired Wade Barrett and all his 6 friends of NXT. The nexus group gave an ultimatum to Bret “The Hit Man” Hart and promised of dire consequences. After some days, the world found out that the Nexus has the power to back up its threats.
The Nexus group put the General Manager of Raw, the legendary, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart in a car and crashed it in the parking lot. The condition of Bret “The Hit Man” Hart was so severe that his family took him to hospital. The Nexus then went on to disrupt the important match at Fatal Four Way “Pay per View” for the WWE championship. Their disruption was so impactful that John Cena lost his title and Sheamus became the new WWE champion. That was not enough for the Nexus, as this group gave a hardcore beating to John Cena and nearly ended his career. Nexus also destroyed the ring and the boundary wall of WWE. The greatest crime of Nexus was to attack the WWE officials standing by the ring side like the ring announcer and camera men.
A couple of weeks later this wild and vicious group came in the arena and encircled the chairman of WWE, Mr. Vince Kennedy McMahon. Vince Kennedy McMahon believed that the Nexus would not attack him as he granted them regular WWE contracts through the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW but he was wrong. Nexus made yet another impact by giving Vince Kennedy McMahon a beating of his life. The beating was so hard that the WWE chairman was taken to the hospital and has not yet recovered from the injuries.
The recent attack by the Nexus group occurred when its members came to the ring and attacked former legends and Hall of Famer of WWE. It was the famous, Ricky The Steam Boat Dragon, who came to ring to witness the release of the DVD, which contained some of the most memorable matches of his life. The attack by the Nexus group was so severe that Ricky the Steam Boat Dragon came to the ring on his feet but left the ring on a stretcher.
No one is sure if any single wrestler has the power to stop the advances of this wild group consisting of 7 wrestlers. So far, all efforts by John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and other top wrestlers have been unsuccessful. Many believe that it is a matter of time when the top wrestlers resolve their differences and make a united front against the Nexus. However, wrestling fans also believe that failure to take a united stand might result in the complete destruction of the infrastructure of WWE.
