WWE Update: You’re either NEXUS or against us!
October 3rd 2010 a day that will be remembered forever in the WWE history, a day when the true champ the king of attitude adjustment had to surrender his ego before the most hated group in the WWE universe The Nexus.
h**l in a Cell took place at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, Texas this year. Shock surrounded the arena as the WWE witnessed the unforgettable defeat of John Cena to the leader of The Nexus Wade Barrett, courtesy to the two fans who were later revealed
as NXT rookies that interrupted at the very last moment of the match which unfortunately the referee did not see. The anonymous GM of RAW instructed John Cena that he must join The Nexus on losing, and to Wade Barrett that no other Nexus member should interfere
during the match or he could be easily disqualified.
The match was for John Cena to join Nexus if he loses, and Nexus becoming history forever otherwise. Cena’s slogan to “never quit never back down” kept him going and to accept the challenge against all odds, but had to face the toughest decision of his WWE
career and may be his life too.
Cena dominated the first 10 minutes due to his legendary experience and his unanswerable moves. Soon after the match started the rest of the four Nexus members showed up outside the ring to create a distraction, only then Barrett knocked Cena out of the
ring and ordered his fellow members to stay away from the ring or it could end up bad for the Nexus. Barrett then counterattacked and continued to dominate over John with some extravagant moves and many two counts, but it was the spirit of Cena that kept him
regrouping on several occasions.
The darling of the WWE universe John Cena gained control over Barrett, signalled for the five knuckle shuffle “you can’t see me”, and hit it successfully. The Nexus came closer to surround the ring, but not for long as a group of superstars including Edge,
R-Truth, The Big Show and many other beat the nexus away from the ring which certainly the crowd enjoyed and so did Cena.
Cena turned back his focus on Barrett as all superstars and the nexus left, soon after which Cena went for the STF but was out smarted as Barrett twisted Cena over the mat. In reply, Barrett went for his finishing manoeuvre but Cena got out safe and tried
his submission specialty, but lucky for The Nexus leader that wasn’t the end of the match as he got out of the submission call unharmed. As expected, almost all the WWE universe was supporting John Cena but most of the boys were chanting for Barrett which
was most unlikely witnessing.
Approaching towards the end of the match, Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment two times and finally succeeded on the second one, but against all odds, Barrett again kicked out on two. Cena applied the STF as something unusual happened distracting the referee
and out of no where two fans from the crowd came out hitting Cena with a foreign object, giving advantage to Barrett as he pinned Cena and got the three counts.
Cena was stunned after all that happened to him in a matter of a split second ending him up on the losing side. A match that Cena should have won not just for himself but for all his fans too, but hey that’s a reality that Barrett won and Cena lost. Now
Cena was left with no choice but to wear the Nexus band as that was what was committed before the match. The leader was then joined by his mates who carried him over their shoulders and celebration hit the ring.
Cena after this catastrophic loss is left with no choice but to follow the orders from the Nexus king or he’ll be fired from the WWE as per GM’s orders. As the Nexus has grown stronger, Cena is getting weaker everyday as he find himself as a puppet being
controlled by the Nexus.
